ABSTRACT

This book sets out to examine the phenomenon of workplace bullying. Although people in workplaces have been dealing with bullying for many years, the concept was named little more than a decade ago. The last ten years have seen considerable professional and academic work on the topic around the world. The purpose of this book is to review current thinking on this difficult topic and in that process we will draw from major writing and research in the field. First we will gear our efforts towards an examination of what we understand about the problem and then we will look toward finding interventions.
