A second type of unit is called ‘Observation Units’ conceptually labelled as 1, 2, ..., i, ..., N with N unknown and the Observation Units are not identified and labelled before the start of a survey. Our objective is to estimate the total Y of the values yi,
i = 1, . . ., N for a variable of interest defined on the Observation Units respectively, labeled conceptually as i = 1, . . ., N.
