ABSTRACT
Hypercholesterolaemia occurs in one-third or more of women with anorexia nervosa.321-323 Serum triglyceride levels are in the normal range. The reason for the hypercholesterolaemia is not known with certainty, though decreased catabolism may be the cause, faecal bile acid excretion being reduced.324
