ABSTRACT
Arthrography of the hip uses a dilute solution of gadolinium (Gd), usually 2%. The normal approach to injecting the hip joint is either anteriorly, directing the needle to the proximal part of the neck of the femur, or laterally along the femoral neck. The procedure may be carried out under uoroscopic or ultrasound guidance. Arthrography is predominantly used to assess the labrum.
