ABSTRACT
The intracanalicular portion and the larger cerebellopontine cistern component have an ‘ice cream-on-cone’ appearance.
Occasionally, a small purely intracanalicular tumour is seen.
Schwannomas are isointense on T1-weighted and high signal on T2-weighted images.
