ABSTRACT
T2*-GRE sequences feature similar signal changes as T2-weighted images but are more sensitive to susceptibility effects and require much shorter acquisition times. Therefore, they are very useful in the context of emergency diagnosis of hyperacute ICH as well as chronic haemorrhages and microbleedings.
