ABSTRACT
In T1-weighted imaging, this technique is used to con-rm the nature of fatty tissues and also when gadolinium enhancement is employed.
T2-weighted fast spin echo (FSE) imaging is combined with frequency-selective fat suppression to visualize soft tissue and bone marrow oedema. A major problem with this technique is that it is susceptible to inhomogeneities in the magnetic eld and to magnetic susceptibility artefact.
