ABSTRACT
A number of readers will have been exposed to research as an undergraduate. This might have been part of a bachelor of sciences degree or simply as a project during a basic sciences degree, clinical attachment or specialty module. This exposure sometimes puts clinicians off research for life, but for a few the appeal of research may be more long term.
