The promotion of health and prevention of disease is a time honoured axiomatic truth (Geda et al., 2006b). This is particularly true of Alzheimer’s disease (AD), the most common cause of dementia (Chong and Sahadevan, 2005). By the year 2050, AD is projected to afflict as many as 106.2 million people worldwide (Brookmeyer et al., 2007).
