ABSTRACT

Nanouids technology has emerged as a new enhanced heat transfer technique in recent years. Based on the fractal character of nanoparticles in uids, this chapter presents an investigation of ow and heat transfer of nanouids. For this purpose, the rst section is devoted to briey introduce the fractal characteristics of nanoparticles in nanouids. In Section “Fractal Model for Heat Transfer of Nanouids by Convection in a Pool,” the fractal technique is applied to predict the convective heat transfer of nanouids. The analytical model for effective thermal conductivity of nanouids is given in Section “Developing a Novel Form of Thermal Conductivity of Nanouids with Brownian Motion Effect by Means of Fractal Geometry.”
