ABSTRACT
History A 20-year-old man presents to the accident and emergency department with a painful right ankle after twisting during football practice. He is barely able to put his weight on the foot. The description sounds like an eversion injury. There is no other or previous injury and the patient is otherwise fit and well. There is no significant medical history.
