History A previously fit and well 16-year-old boy attends his general practitioner (GP) with a 2-week history of a cough. He noted a small amount of clear sputum but the cough had been generally non-productive and there had been no blood expectorated. He had noted feeling generally feverish. He had been previously fit and well.
