ABSTRACT
The degradation of reinforced concrete is influenced by a number of factors; material properties, cover to reinforcement, execution during construction/site practice and severity of environmental exposure. To completely understand these interactions and the differences between the different deterioration processes it is important to have proper models to describe and quantify these actions and their influence on the durability of concrete structures, as well as the response of the structures.
