ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: A tendency of our times as regards the front parts of a building is to be made of precast façade elements with architectural concrete.

The new Museum of Acropolis in Athens, which will house the ancient sculptures of Acropolis, after an international competition was assigned to and designed by the architects B. Tschumi (Switzerland) and M. Fotiadis (Greece). The architects designed for two of the four floors a frontage that consists of precast façade elements made of reinforced concrete.
