INTRODUCTION Extrusion-spheronization is a multiple-step process capable of producing uniformly sized spherical particles. This chapter will discuss the use of this process as a granulation method for use in producing free-flowing spherical granules. The initial edition and the second edition were written by Erkoboni (1) and Mehta et al. (2), respectively.
