ABSTRACT

The scope of this guidance from the SETAC workshop PERAS (“Semi-Field Methods for the Environmental Risk Assessment of Pesticides in Soil”) is to identify suitable semi-field test methods that are able to detect potential effects of pesticides on soil communities. Semi-field methods are defined as controlled, reproducible test systems that simulate the processes and interactions of components in a portion of the terrestrial environment, either in the laboratory, in the field, or somewhere in between.
