ABSTRACT
Life doesn’t always follow the script you had in mind. Sometimes you are faced with unexpected situations: Someone important stops by and asks for an impromptu description of your work, or something goes wrong in the middle of your planned presentation. In this chapter, we look at how to handle extemporaneous speaking opportunities, and we discuss what to do when calamity strikes your presentation. Throughout this chapter, the key message is to stay calm.
