ABSTRACT

The final step in preparation for your presentation is practice. The old adage “practice makes perfect” reminds us of the importance of rehearsal, but it may discourage those who know they will never be perfect. Instead, remember that “practice makes better,” and the more you practice, the better your presentation will be. Start practicing early. Once you begin, you will find that there are visual aids that need to be modified or missing pieces of information that you need to research. You may have to add or subtract material so that the timing comes out right. Give yourself enough time to handle these things.
