ABSTRACT

A live human body emits heat, part of which is radiated as infrared (IR) photons. Heat is one of a few basic features that distinguish a live body from a dead one, because heat is continuously being generated through metabolic, blood flow, and other important biological processes such as thermogenesis processes. us, although IR photons represent only a narrow band of the electromagnetic spectrum, information contained in such images is fundamentally associated with the functional status and movement in our body.
