ABSTRACT

Since the late 1950s, extensive research has been performed on the use of infrared imaging in breast cancer screening. Over 800 papers can be found in the indexed medical literature. In this database, well over 300,000 women have participated as study subjects. e numbers of participants in many studies are very large and range from 10,000 to 85,000 women. Some of these studies have followed patients for up to 12 years in order to investigate and establish the technology’s unique ability as a risk marker.
