ABSTRACT
A system is a collection of things that interact to achieve common purpose. System development is a process for creating man-made systems. This is a problem-solving process. Where the problem is complex and is to be solved by the application of engineering knowledge, the system development process is a candidate for the application of the systems approach to problem solving. The systems approach entails three fundamental steps wrapped in a framework of engineering and program management. These three steps are
1. Dene the problem in a specication consisting of requirements derived from models ideally using a structured analysis approach.
