ABSTRACT
It is questionable whether this comprehensive, set-theoretic revelation about integration work will result in a direct improvement in the practice of system integration work in industry. But, it is hoped that it will make it possible to more effectively teach the process to all engineers such that a larger population will be more effective in applying the integrated product development, or concurrent engineering, approach to the development of systems to solve complex problems.
