ABSTRACT

Web accessibility has traditionally been de£ned as a separate topic from usability. In fact, they are two aspects of the same dimension. Products that are very inaccessible are also very unusable. It is also important to consider that Web content that is easily usable by one individual may turn out to be dif£cult to use by a second individual, and impossible to use by a third. In fact, the same content may be easy to use by a person in the morning sitting at their desk using a standard monitor and yet be unusable by the same individual later in the day when driving their car or trying to access Web content using a mobile device.
