ABSTRACT

One of the ways to understand what motivates team members is to review the history of motivational studies and see what the early motivational “gurus” found. There are certain criteria that have to be established during the project team development process. There is personal satisfaction from the ability to team with others, trust and respect, and benevolence. Good leaders encourage creativity and create a motivational and stimulating environment, opportunities, challenges, and high expectations. Teams combine talents, skill sets, and knowledge to provide more innovative and creative solutions to issues that may arise. They are very attractive to management because there will be multiple sources of input to the decision-making process, making it more diverse, with the possibility of making a better decision. Without a project team, there wouldn’t be much project management. Consultants and experts can add expenses to the project.
