ABSTRACT

In recent years, research activities in networked multisensor decision and estimation fusion problems have significantly increased since multisource information fusion has become a crucial technique in many practical applications, such as space technology and air traffic control, military engineering, sensor networks, communications engineering, industrial control, economics and sociology, bioinformatics and biomedical, and so on. Such techniques can achieve improved accuracies, system survivability, and more specific inferences and consume less communication bandwidth and computer capacity than could be done by the use of a single sensor alone.
