Water sludge treatment processes Water solids can be handled through a number of different processes, and a variety of disposal options are available. The process steps are thickening, coagulant recovery, conditioning, dewatering, drying, disposal and reuse, and recovered and nonrecovered water handling (for more on solids equipment and handling, see Chapters 23 and 24) (see Figure 22.1).
