ABSTRACT
Deterministic modeling involves the use of parameters that take on only a single value, thus “determining” the model’s outcome. Stochastic modeling, on the other hand, involves the use of random variables. Not only can model coefˆcients be functions of other variables, they can be functions of random variables and thus can be random variables themselves.
