ABSTRACT
As discussed in Chapter 1, with water-cooled chillers, cooling towers have the role of rejecting heat collected during the space cooling process to the ambient atmosphere. In addition, the inefŒciencies of the water chiller represent heat that is added to the condenser water circuit and must also be rejected by the tower.
