ABSTRACT

Remote sensing is a valuable tool for characterizing the vast habitat of wideranging endangered species, such as the Amur tiger (Panthera tigris altaica), also called the Siberian or Ussurian tiger (Cushman and Wallin, 2000; Prynn, 2004), and the critically endangered Amur (Far Eastern) leopard (P. pardus orientalis).
