Key Points ◾ Enterprise architecture (EA) of the organization is extended with due consideration to the
environment, resulting in a Green enterprise architecture (GEA). ◾ Importance and relevance of a GEA in an organization’s transformation to a green organiza-
tion. Various types of architectures within the enterprise, such as information architecture and solutions architecture, are discussed and their role in Green information systems (GIS) highlighted.
