ABSTRACT

IBM’s 2010 study of 2,500 CIOs found that ongoing measurement is essential. IT processes have always been measured, although not always very effectively. is chapter will examine the fundamentals of balanced scorecard as it relates to the precepts of project management (PM). Readers will examine the balanced scorecard in relationship to an organization and the people, processes, technologies, and products that are components of the organization’s discrete projects, programs, and collaborative efforts such as social software engineering.
