ABSTRACT
The violation of CP symmetry was rst observed in 1964 in a study of the decays of the neutral kaon mesons, as noted in Chapter 7. e K0 meson may be considered the combination of a d quark and an s antiquark. Applying the CP transformation, we obtain a d antiquark and an s quark, which is known as the meson K0bar (pronounced “kay-zerobar”).
