ABSTRACT

Policy usually copes with storage environments with partial observability and uncertainty. In addition, these environments evolve over time space. So the policy deals with large complex policy objects and relations. Also, it requires taking actions in the limited time domain. During input/output (I/O) operations, policy management is a major step towards connecting, storing, and filing among storage pools. Real-life policy management networks acquire, evaluate, and execute 106 discrete storage events and processes. The environment is overwhelmed by irrelevant information and actions. It manages 109 physical objects with imperfect information.
