ABSTRACT Isolation, depression, and cognitive impairment are major factors that impact health, well-being, and care costs of elderly people. Information systems and in particular those supported by video (e.g., video call, video-conferencing, video immersion) can help in connecting elderly, care providers, health personnel, and family and friends to address dementia challenges. According to the World Health Organization, dementia is one of the major problems of public health in Europe. The United States forecasts for 2040
