ABSTRACT
The Egyptian days of altogether dismissing the brain as an important organ are long gone. Yet the path to explicit brain connectivity consideration has been a very slow one for even nowadaysmany research initiatives still center around nineteenth century phrenologically inspired ideas consisting of mainly spotting active brain sites under different stimuli or identifying specific brain structures where cognitive functions can be uncovered under stimulation, inhibition, or lesion protocols.
