ABSTRACT

In this chapter we again consider cooperation between two players. However, we deal with the case that each player may apply one of many, i.e., more than one, facades or types of behavior (each behavior type affects the player’s preferences toward the game choices and hence the payoffs to the players). In this type of game a player does not know beforehand the type of behavior that his multi-facade opponent will decide to apply to a particular game instance. Although the different types of each player may be known, the fact that the choice of behavior is not known prior to the game, makes the analysis and solution of such games more challenging, since multiple information sets for each player, resulting from the different possible types of behavior, need to be taken into consideration.
