ABSTRACT
The actual results are presented in terms of moment-rotation diagrams, including the initial rotational stiffness, the plastic moment resistance and ultimate rotation capacity for each type of connection and configuration, taking into account the bending influence on the connections and the joint’s capacity to mobilize bending resistance with some ductility. For that purpose bolted connections with flush end-plates and extended endplates (types included on Part 1.8, Eurocode 3, 2005) were selected.
