DuraGal® C450 150 × 50 × 4 RHS and between DuraGal® C450 150 × 50 × 5 RHS. Figure 1 depicts the configuration of a stiffened welded knee joint specimen used in the validation experiment.
This paper explains the reasons why the solution is so successful, and points out that it can be used to improve the seismic ductility and fatigue strength of welded connections in rectangular hollow sections.
