ABSTRACT
Many books and papers have been written to tell the tale of the discovery of camptothecin (CPT) (1) (Potmesil and Pinedo 1995, Pantaziz and Giovanella 1996, Wall et al. 1966, Liehr et al. 2000, Adams and Burke 2005). This chapter is meant to be only a modest contribution to this tale and to remind us how we have to be determinate day by day if we want to discover something useful for saving human lives.
