ABSTRACT
MAP harvesting-harvesting of medicinal and aromatic plantsis a term that implies gathering of plant part or parts containing active ingredients. The term also includes preharvesting operations. One example of a preharvesting operation is the removal of aerial plant parts before digging out the roots or bulbs. The other example is the procedure of desiccation, a method that used to be based on chemical, and now only on mechanical, treatment.
