ABSTRACT
All ships are governed and regulated by International Maritime Organization (IMO), which is responsible for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine pollution, and classication societies (such as the American Bureau of ShippingABS, Det Norske Veritas-DNV, Lloyds Register of Shipping-LRS), which are responsible for verifying the ship’s design, construction, and maintenance.
