ABSTRACT
The articulated angle in Mode (b) are called limiting articulated angle cr. It can be calculated given the radius of curve and dimension of shield machine. As the conformation of shield machine, it is ideal to adopt cr as the articulated angle. In this case, the outside of shield machine will contact ground fully, the construction will be the steadiest and the value of over break will be the smallest.
