ABSTRACT
LaRonde’s challenging ground conditions require that standard support elements perform to their limit. Even though ore access strategies have been greatly optimized (Langevin & Turcotte 2006), some situations can not be avoided. This section describes the observed behavior of the various support strategies that have been tested to control or at least mitigate wall deformation in haulage drifts.
