ABSTRACT
The Taylor Series is one of the most important tools in numerical analysis. It constitutes the foundation of numerical methods and will be used in most of the chapters of this text. From the Taylor Series, we can derive the formulas and error estimates of the many numerical techniques used. This chapter contains a review of the Taylor Series, and a brief introduction to MATLABR©.
