ABSTRACT

Introduction Some interesting topics do not fit neatly into previous categories, but do describe links between nutrients/nutritional status and mental status. These include the accumulation of copper in Wilson’s disease, mercury toxicity and fish consumption, selenium and seizures, use of nutrients in treating migraine headaches, the presence of multiple nutrient deficiencies described in patients with agoraphobia, and others. In addition, some nontraditional perspectives such as spirituality and eating habits, and the effects of biofeedback and state of mind on the function of the body are included.
