ABSTRACT
Petroleum products, in contrast to petrochemicals (Chapter 27), are those bulk fractions that are derived from petroleum and have commercial value as a bulk product. In the strictest sense, petro chemicals are also petroleum products but they are individual chemicals that are used as the basic building blocks of the chemical industry (Speight and Ozum, 2002; Hsu and Robinson, 2006; Gary et al., 2007; Speight, 2011a).
