ABSTRACT
Capparis compounds have been shown to exert a number of beneficial effects toward calming the central nervous system (Figure 23.1), including the prevention of seizures in animal models. These various findings are summarized in Table 23.1 and provide a basis for the use of Capparis species as a source of novel psychotropic and antiepileptic medications.
