In nanomedicine, two strategies of critical importance will involve the development of methodologies to facilitate the safe entry (ingress) of nanomedical devices into a patient at the onset of any diagnostic or therapeutic procedure, and their subsequent exit (egress) from the patient at the conclusion of these activities.
