In fact, the results of cross-sectional studies conducted in various working populations exposed to a wide range of highmolecular weight (HMW) and low-molecular weight (LMW) agents indicate that WRR is a frequent disease (1), although prevalence rates differ widely among occupations and with causal agents (Table 24.1).
