ABSTRACT
Thus far, we have covered major concepts and analytic methods on the use of either asingle-or multi-item patient-reported outcome (PRO) instrument. In this chapter, both nonparametric and parametric statistical methods for analyzing the PRO data cross-sectionally (e.g., at acertain time point) will be examined and exempli„ed. This chapter also covers asingle measurement of change from baseline, which, although not strictly cross-sectional, re¦ects longitudinal data in its most basic form and involves the same type of crosssectional analytic methods.
